About Allen Walls
Allen Walls, a local author from Essex, Ontario, is the passionate writer behind "TIMBERLAND the story of William Perry, the man who saved the life of Henry Ford," published by Friesen Press and WCWEnterprises. Allen's deep connection to the local history and his desire to share remarkable untold stories led him to write about William Perry, an Elmstead, ON hero. He hopes to bring Perry's extraordinary act of bravery to a wider audience, celebrating a significant piece of Canadian and US history.
His inspiration
Allen was inspired to write this book because the story of William Perry has never been told. It was important to tell others how the relationship of these two men affected many others in a positive way and changed the course of history. Allen felt it was vital to share this story and contribute to our understanding of local history. The book is not a commentary about either man’s politics or personal beliefs, but rather about William Perry and how during his life he met and became friends with Henry Ford. Also William Perry is Allen’s great uncle.
